Facts of Confession
(1) If we have sinned against an individual, we much ask them to forgive us so that we can be forgiven.
(2) If our sin affects the church, we must confess it publicly.
(3) If we need loving support while we struggle with sin, we must confess it to those who are able to provide that support.
(4) If after confessing a private sin to God, and we still don’t feel His forgiveness, we may wish to confess that sin to a fellow believer who can assure us of God’s pardon.
