Drawn by Grace How God Meets Us In Our Brokenness Pt. 2

I.    God validates our pain and gives us rest.

A.    Elijah runs from Jezebel to the wilderness.

1.    I Kings 19:3-4

B.    God provided food and rest to strengthen Elijah.

1.    I Kings 19:5-8

Takeaway: Taking time to rest isn’t a sign of weakness or defeat; it’s spiritual discipline. God meets your fatigue with grace, not a scoreboard.

II.    Healing starts on the inside, and then the manifestation of that healing can be seen. Let go of heavy burdens to activate your inner peace.

A.    Hannah’s emotional state was completely at peace after she had poured her heart out to God.

1.    I Samuel 1:15-18

B.    Hannah conceived and bore Samuel.

1.    I Samuel 1:19-20

Takeaway: Emotional healing happens before your circumstances change. God’s peace doesn’t rely on a solved problem; it's a chain reaction that begins when you release your heavy burdens to Him.

III.    Your identity will be restored, not just your comfort.

A.    Mephibosheth was taken to Lo-debar, as a young child, because he was injured.

1.    2 Samuel 4:4

B.    King David restored all the land of Saul to Mephibosheth.

1.    2 Samuel 9:1, 5-7

Takeaway: Trauma and emotional pain can affect how you view yourself.  But God’s healing can completely restore your identity and remind you that you have a place at the King's table.
